Who Knew?

1. I dreamed of becoming a prima ballerina but never got a single dance lesson.

2. I speak two languages, three if you count Toddlerese.

3. I lived in Japan for two months and refused to eat sushi.

4. I earned my degree in Journalism but felt there was no need to attend the graduation.

5. Music is my vice. I rarely turn on the television.

6. My favorite T.V. shows growing up were Three’s Company, Who’s the Boss, and Growing Pains.

7. I’d rather eat a slice of pizza than a bowl of ice cream. Unless, it’s a Kit Kat of course.

8. I would never kill a spider. My husband kindly escorts them to the front door instead.

9. I need an I.V. drip of coffee because I’m immune to ingesting it orally.

10. I’m good at multi-tasking until my kids throw me off course.

11. Every evening I turn my worries over to God. He’s going to be up all night anyway.

12. French bread gives me the hiccups.

13. I married the perfect man. He still opens my car door.

14. I like being reminded of my frailties. Keeps my head out of the clouds.

15. I love the smell of fresh rain unless it’s pouring and I don’t have an umbrella.

16. I don’t have a FACEBOOK account. Never have and probably never will.

17. I am obsessed with etymology.

I’ll stop for now. I think you get the picture.

  2. There should be a support group for all of us who sympathize with number 1. That totally hit home for me.

    • You too? There is something magical about being a ballerina when you’re a little girl. It’s hard letting go of that dream. I bet if we did start a support group women would show up in droves.

  4. On #4, I can’t wait to wear my cap and gown in June. It took me a long time to get the nerve to go back to school for an actual “degree” because all my previous schooling was in Professional Studies; courses and certificates but no official diploma or degree. I earned it, as you did. Guess I just want to be a proud peacock! Oh, and I identify with 10,11,13,14,15,17 too!

    • Good for you for going back to school! It is super scary attending as an adult. I re-entered in my late twenties after my daughter was born. You are very close to earning your degree. You’ve worked hard so you have every right to be a PROUD peacock! :)

  5. Ohh, do you eat sushi now? Sorry, it is one of my favourite things. But what was Japan like? I really want to pick up some more words and live there for a while.

    • I’m a HUGE sushi fan now! Thanks for asking. Japan was amazing! I lived in Tokyo for only a couple of months before I was married. It reminded me of a mini New York. Lots of hustle and bustle. Lots of travel by subway as well. One of my favorite adventures overseas!

      • Yay! Drat, I haven’t been to New York either. But at least I have seen it in movies so I can imagine this :P
